The author very carefully and methodically builds a foundation from basic principles, never assuming students will just get it without a detailed explanation. Examples based on real data that illustrate the concepts are given throughout. I have also been a big fan of Eviews software for the last 15 years, and this text integrates the use of EViews throughout. I am considering a new course in financial econometrics at my university that would be largely based on this text.
